A Download click event is being tracked whenever a user clicks a link that downloads a prezentaion (pps, ppt, pptx) , table (xls, xlsx), pdf, document (doc, docx), txt, csv, software (key, exe), archive (7z, pkg, rar, gz, zip), movie (avi, mov, mp4, mpe, mpeg, wmv) or a sound file (mid, midi, mp3, wav, wma).
Parameters
id: the id HTML attribute of the download link if it has one.
title: the title attribute of the download link if it has one
text: the text content of the download link truncated to 150 characters at max.
link: the complete url where the link is pointing to.
link_direction: one of: internal, external, subdomain or parent domain
link_type: download (always)
Utilization
You can use this event to get to know which of the downloadable content that you are pointing towards triggers the most interest. You can also use it of course to create groups of users who are interested in certain type of content to anaylize their behavior individually or to add them to a remarketing audience.
